The wire diameter is recommended to be more than 0.3 square mm. The maximum length should not exceed 30 meters. The shielded cable connects to the GND of the controller.
The standard card reader reading distance is 5-15cm, the ID card reader reading distance is slightly longer, the IC card reading distance is slightly shorter. If the keychain type sensor card is used, the reading distance will be shorter, generally 1-3 cm. The way of reading the card, it is recommended to use the card to read the card naturally close, with the card from the side of the quick swipe card reading method is not advisable, does not guarantee the success of swiping the card.
The card reader is installed on the metal surface, because the card reader is a radio frequency product, whether it is the front or the rear near the metal pair will absorb its radio frequency signal, if the metal surface is large, it will even affect the card reader can not read the card, or the card reading distance attenuation is very strong. In addition, the distance between the two card readers is too close will also affect the card reader, some will make the card reading distance shorter, and some will become longer, causing the two card readers to read the card at the same time or the card reader can not read the card. The solution is: try not to install on the metal plane, or dig out the metal part of the card reader installation, and keep the distance between the two card readers at more than 25cm.
2.The wire from button to the controller
You are recommended to use two cores of wire, wire diameter of 0.3 square mm or more.
3.The wire from electric lock to the controller
You are recommended to use a two-core power cord, the wire diameter is more than 1.0 square mm. If more than 50 meters to consider using a thicker line, or multi-strand parallel, and; Or adjust the output voltage to about 14V through the fine-tuning button of the power supply. The longest should not exceed 100 meters.
Access control construction from the electric lock to the controller of a line, looks very ordinary, if not standardized it is easy to cause trouble, this must be paid attention to!
Because the working current of the electric lock is relatively large (compared with other devices of the access control system, such as controllers and card readers), the electric lock has a certain distance from the controller, and the voltage drop on the line will be relatively large. If the pressure drop is too large, it will make the electric lock sometimes move, sometimes do not move. Magnetic locks sometimes don't have enough suction. The door is not open and closed properly. It will even rob current resources with the controller, making the controller insufficient power supply, restart or even crash.
Some engineers figure that the wiring is convenient, or the procurement is convenient, the use of network wires to distribute the electric lock to the controller wire, it is easy to cause failure, although there seems to be no problem when debugging, after a period of time, there will often be problems.
If the length of the cable from the electric lock to the controller is less than 50 meters, it is required to use a two-core power cable with a cross-sectional area of 1.0 square mm without shielding. If the cable is more than 50 meters, it is necessary to double and distribute one more two-core power cable for parallel power supply. If the line is longer than 100 meters, it is recommended to move the controller closer to the position of the door electric lock to shorten the wiring distance.
The cross-sectional area of the cable is 0.2 square millimeters, which is 5 times smaller than our standard wire, so it is absolutely not possible, even if the distance between the controller and the electric lock is very close. Electric lock door magnetic signal cable, network cable can be used. Some people, four strands of the network cable in one, to power the electric lock, although in theory is close to the norm, but it is not recommended that you do so. This will make the terminal instability and other hazards.
4.The wire from the door sensor to the controller
It is recommended to select two cores of wire from the door sensor to the controller, and the wire diameter is above 0.3 square mm. If you do not need to know the door switch status online or do not need to close the door alarm and illegal entry alarm function for a long time, the door sensor wire may not be connected.
5, RS485 communication line
Between the controller to the controller, and the controller to the converter, are RS485 communication lines. You are advised to use an 8-core shielded twisted-pair cable. The wire diameter is more than 0.3 square mm, 485+ and 485- must be mutually twisted, of which 6 core spare, shielded wire can not be connected, if the communication is not smooth, you can consider using shielded wire to connect the GND of all controllers. Or parallel 120 ohm terminal resistors between 485+ and 485- on the last controller of the 485 bus to improve communication quality (there is a terminal matching resistance jumper on the controller). 485 bus length, theoretically can reach 1200 meters, it is recommended that according to the number of controllers or the complexity of the communication environment, do not exceed 800 meters. If so, please choose 485HUB or repeater to improve the communication environment.
If the 485 wiring is not standardized or beyond the scope of communication, there will be no communication or sometimes communication on sometimes communication phenomenon.
485 transmission is a differential mode transmission mode, only 485+ and 485- each other in twisted pairs, in order to make 485 transmission mode subject to the least interference, the farthest transmission, the best transmission quality.
Some engineers do not use twisted pair will make the interference is very large, some engineers mistakenly think that the line thicker transmission quality will be good, the twisted pair will be synthesized a strand, another twisted pair is also synthesized a strand, which is counterproductive, but greatly reduce the quality of communication.
There is a small converter on the market that has no power supply and is cheap. However, the anti-interference performance is not good, and it is generally used for single-machine indoor short-distance communication, such as attendance machines. Not suitable for access control systems. Although it claims to be able to take 32 devices and transmit distances of up to 1000 meters, in fact, it is often far from reaching the target in practical applications. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not use this passive converter. Unless indoors, the communication distance is less than 100 meters, and the load is less than 2 units, it can be considered from the cost point of view. Otherwise, it is highly recommended that you use an active 485 converter, which is also less expensive and much more stable. The number of load controllers is also large. Anti-interference, anti-lightning, anti-surge effect is also very good.
485 cabling prohibits star connections, that is, do not pull cables from the converter to each controller, and then parallel on the converter. This connection makes for poor communication. Be sure to come out of the converter, first to a controller, and then connected to the next control, a connected down, like a string of grasshoppers.
The communication line has a shielding layer to be grounded, but its grounding must be on the ground, otherwise it is better not to connect.
Non-standard 485 wiring (including the line), even if it is improved by shielding ground and terminal resistance in the future, it is useless.

1, all the lines must be bushed, PVC pipe and galvanized pipe can be, to avoid rats to bite the line caused by failure. Although the controller has good anti-static, anti-lightning and anti-leakage design, ensure that the controller chassis is properly connected to the AC power grounding cable and that the AC power grounding cable is properly grounded.
2, it is recommended that you do not often live plug terminal, please be sure to unplug terminal, and then carry out the corresponding welding work.
3, do not disassemble or replace the chip of the controller without authorization, non-professional operation will cause damage to the controller.
4, it is not recommended that you docking other additional equipment without authorization, all unconventional operations, please be sure to communicate before our engineers.
5, do not connect the controller and other high-current equipment to the same power socket.
6, the installation height of the card reader and button is 1.45 meters from the ground, which can be appropriately increased or reduced according to the customer's usage habits.
7. The controller is recommended to be installed in a place that is easy to maintain, such as a weak current well.
8, wiring terminals pay attention to standard wiring, do not expose the metal part is too long, so as not to cause short circuit and communication failure.
9. If records of access control events need to be saved, periodically read data from the controller.
10, according to the application of power failure measures such as the use of UPS power supply.
11. Keep the access code properly.
12. Pay attention to the use environment of this product.
13, the connection distance between the card reader and the controller should not exceed 30 meters.
14, microcomputer and controller connection distance: RS232 interface <12 m RS422 interface <1000 m RS485 interface <1200 m
15, the controller input/output current is relatively small, engineering debugging, such as the use of electric lock instant impulse current is too large, causing the controller to restart, It is recommended that a 2200μF/35V electrolytic capacitor be connected in parallel to the power cable of the electric lock. (Especially if multiple locks are connected to the same power supply, either increase the power supply margin or add several large capacitors).
16, electric lock and controller is best not to use the same power supply. (Our single-door and two-door controllers are equipped with a locking power supply, which is designed as a dual power supply, the actual controller power supply and the locking power supply are separate, but the conservative approach is to connect at most two magnetic locks).
17, the controller power supply must be linear power supply. Because the effective power of the linear power supply is not high and its own heat is severe, the effective power is generally ranging from 40-70%, and the nominal 5A power supply has an effective current of about 3A. However, the linear power supply has stable operation and less interference, which is suitable for equipment with long-term stable operation. It is the power supply type commonly used by access control equipment at home and abroad. Some engineers ask whether switching power supply can be used, switching power supply power is large, high effective power, we do not recommend the use of switching power supply, switching power supply generally has a high frequency ripple, will affect the stability of the host operation (especially communication). But it can be used as a power lock.
18. For places with strong magnetic interference, galvanized steel pipe or closed metal wire trough should be laid and grounded.
