Types and characteristics of electric locks used for access control
The electric locks commonly used in access control are: electric plug lock, magnetic lock, electric lock, electric lock and so on.
First, electric lock:
Some people also call him "anode lock", in fact, he is only a kind of "anode lock", that is, the electric lock of the power failure door. Because according to the fire requirements, in the event of a fire, the building will automatically cut off the power supply, and the electric lock should be opened to facilitate personnel escape, so most of the electric lock is powered off to open the door.

Electric bolt lock
1, the classification of electric lock:
Electric lock according to the wire is divided into: two-wire electric lock, four-wire electric lock, five-wire electric lock
Two-wire power lock: There are two wires, red and black, red connected to power +12VDC black connected to GND. Disconnect any of the wires, the lock retracts, and the door opens. Two-wire electric lock, the design is relatively simple, there is no single-chip microcomputer control circuit, the lock body is easy to heat, the impact current is relatively large, and it belongs to the low-grade electric plug lock with relatively low price.
Four-wire power lock: There are two wires, red and black, red connected to power +12VDC black connected to GND. There are two white lines, which are door magnetic signal lines, reflecting the open and closed state of the door. It passes the door magnet, according to the current door open or closed state, output different switching signals to the access controller to make judgments, such as the access control illegal entry alarm door for a long time not closed and other functions rely on these signals to make judgments, if you do not need these functions, the door magnet signal line can not be connected. Four-wire electric lock adopts single-chip microcomputer controller, benign heating, with delay control, with door magnetic signal output, which belongs to the common electric lock with good cost performance.
The so-called delay control is that there is a dip switch on the lock body, which can set the delay time of closing the door. You can usually set it to 0 seconds, 2.5 seconds, 5 seconds, 9 seconds. Each manufacturer's lock has a slightly different delay. Please note that this delay is different from the two concepts of the door opening delay set by the access controller and access control software. The access control controller and access control software are set to "open the door delay", or "door delay", which refers to the automatic closing of the electric lock after how many seconds.
The delay brought by the electric lock is the closing delay, which refers to how long the door is in place, the lock head comes down, and the door is locked. The general access control system requires the door to be closed in place, the lock will come down, and the door will be closed. Therefore, the electric lock delay is set to 0 seconds by default. And some doors, the ground spring is not good, the door is swinging before and after the closing position a few times, the door is set down, this time if set to 0 seconds, the lock has not had time to hit the lock hole, the door is swinging back will have extended the lock head knocked sideways, in this case you can set a closing delay, so that the door is swinging a few times, stable, the lock head down again, Close the door.
Five-wire plug lock: The principle of the four-wire plug lock is the same, but there is a pair of opposite signals of the door magnet, which is used for some special occasions, but the formal occasions are troublesome, and the engineer wants to test which pair should be used.
The red and black lines are the power supply. There are three lines COM NO NC, NO and NC and COM respectively form two pairs of signals opposite (a group of closed signals, a group of open signals). After the door is opened, the closed signal becomes the open signal, and the group of open signals becomes the closed signal.
2, the range of use of electric lock:
Electric lock: usually used for glass doors, wooden doors and so on.
3, the advantages and disadvantages of electric lock:
Advantages: Hidden safety, beautiful appearance, good safety, not easy to be pry open and open.
Disadvantages: When installing to dig the lock hole, more hard.
Note: Some glass doors have no threshold (that is, the door frame is also glass), or the top of the glass door is not wrapped, you need to buy rimless glass door accessories to assist installation. The cost of the attachment is not low because the output is not high.
Second, magnetic lock:
Also called electromagnetic lock, it is an electric lock that relies on the suction generated between the electromagnet and the iron block to close the door. Magnetic lock is also a power off the door of the electric lock.

Magnetic lock
Some magnetic lock is with the door state (door magnetic state) output, you carefully observe the terminal, in addition to the power terminal, there are three COM NO NC terminal, the role of these terminal can be based on the current door is open or closed, output different switching signals to the access controller to make a judgment, For example, the illegal entry alarm door of the access control is not closed for a long time and other functions rely on these signals to make judgments, if these functions are not required, the door status signal terminal can not be connected.
1, magnetic lock range of use:
magnetic lock is usually used for wooden doors, fire doors.
2, the advantages and disadvantages of magnetic lock: advantages:
the performance is relatively stable, the repair rate will be lower than other electric locks. Easy to install, no need to dig the lock hole, only the cable trough, with screws to fix the lock body.
Disadvantages: It is generally installed at the top of the threshold outside the door, and because of the exposure, the aesthetics and security are not as good as the hidden installation of the electric plug lock. The price is similar to the electric plug lock, and some will be slightly higher. Due to the limited suction, the usual model is 270 kg force, which may be pulled apart by many people at the same time, or people with great strength suddenly. Therefore, magnetic locks are usually used in offices and other non-high security occasions that prevent gentlemen from preventing villains. Some security occasions, such as "prison", if the magnetic lock is used, the magnetic lock with a tensile force of more than 500 kg will be customized.
Third, electric lock:
(electric lock) Some people call him "cathode lock", in fact, he is just one of the models is a cathode lock. It is mounted on the side of the door and must be used with a mechanical lock.
Pros: Cheap. There are two kinds of power failure on and power failure off.
Disadvantages: The impact current is relatively large, the impact on system stability is large, because it is installed on the side of the door, the wiring is very inconvenient, because there is a partition in the middle of the side door frame, the line is not convenient from the top of the door through the door frame down. The lock body should be hollowed out and buried, and the installation is relatively difficult. No credit card, through the spherical mechanical lock can also open the door, reducing the security and query of the electronic access control system. Can withstand the damage is limited, may be a foot can kick open, in principle, I do not recommend that you use this electric lock.
Fourth, electronic lock:
mainly used in the community unit door, bank savings office two doors and other occasions. It can also be opened with the knob on the inner door lock or the key. Disadvantages: The impact current is large, the impact on the stability of the system is large, the "snap" when opening the door, the noise is relatively large. Installation is not convenient, often need professional welding equipment, spot welding to the iron door. During construction, it should be noted that the opening delay can not be long, and can only be set within 1 second, if the time is long, it may cause heat damage to the electric lock.
Fifth, motor lock:
in view of these shortcomings, the new "silent electric lock" referred to as "silent lock", some people are also called "motor lock", is designed, he is no longer the use of the principle of electromagnets, but to drive a small motor to retractable lock.
